Deepak Shinde opposed the idea of keeping the money in societies and it is not safe. Prof. J. G. Kulkarni explained that Walchand College Employees Society is running good and there is no danger of loan not being repaid as the money is deducted from salary. More over this helps college staff to get loans. It was decided that present deposit with WCE society should be increased subjected to the capping limit to 4 lakhs.

For remaining amount it was decided that appropriate decision will be taken in consultation with CA of APS. The 3 year’s financials would be verified and certified by the CA of APS to understand the safety for our decision to keep Rs 4 lac.

Dr. Ranade described the activities of APS. The major work was
• Establishment of central office
• Computer database updation
• Bound books of all forms
• New forms filled from WCE staff, MSEB,Waranali and MJP in Sangli & similar other departments where our friends, past students and members are working.
• Launching of alumni website, www.walchandalumni.com

He expressed the view that APS should concentrate on strengthening itself rather than paying all the money to college for infrastructural facilities. This, he said, can be done after the association collects sizable funds and increases membership significantly.

He informed the members that the website is sponsored by Dnyandeep Infotech Pvt. Ltd. on the basis that adequate advertisements are recived to meet the cost. However there was no response for advertisement appeal. President Shri. Deshpande reminded that he had promised that he will reimburse the cost if there is loss. Shri.
